Alternative High School Initiative Distinguishers

The organizations within AHSI serve a diverse spectrum of students in communities around the country.  While each school in the network tailors components of their programming to match the needs of the specific communities they serve, all AHSI schools share a set of key design elements.  There is consensus amongst the participating organizations on a set of universal distinguishers that will be evident in all AHSI schools.

While detailed in nature, the overarching AHSI Distinguisher Categories address the network’s commitment to helping students graduate ready for college, work and citizenship.
