The Commonwealth Corporation serves communities, schools and organizations to increase opportunities and decrease disparities for young people so that they can realize their full potential and contribute to their communities and the world. Diploma Plus, one of Commonwealth Corporation’s key youth initiatives, is a multi-school, multi-state demonstration that targets young people who are at risk of not completing high school or have already dropped out. Diploma Plus combines a competency-based approach (in which students progress at their own pace), a small, personalized learning environment, and numerous opportunities to make connections between what is learned in school and the world outside.
